I would like to offer $300 for this knife, or else would offer an even trade for a heavily used spyderco para 3 in s35vn plus $150 cash. Thank you for your time.

So now I don’t have the right to make a legitimate offer? The OP can lock the thread. Moderators are overstepping here imho.

Offering 300 when a person is asking 1300 is not ok even if it may be over priced.

From the rules

Do not post in a person's thread unless you have an implicit interest in buying the item. Posts like, "Nice knife!", "Why is the price so high/low?", "I wish I had funds" are not allowed. This means absolutely no commentary or feedback in someone's sales thread. Seriously, if you stomp on someone's ad, your account can and will be locked. The only exception to this is in the Knife Makers Market areas (if the maker/craftsman requests and welcomes feedback). Save questions and offers for email rather than cluttering the thread.

If you troll, antagonize, provoke, or otherwise create a disruptive environment, you will receive warnings and infractions as necessary for you to modify your behavior. If the problem persists then members that cannot behave in a civil and respectful manner need to find another place to hang out. This is a discussion forum and community, if you come in and shit on the floor, don't expect to stick around for the long haul.

Respectfully I disagree. He posts for more than double retail, I offer half retail, these are totally comparable and equally defensible. I will drop the issue as per the rules now but that was in my opinion a valid form of lodging my disagreement with this user’s abuse of this wonderful hobbyist community, and he belongs on eBay instead.

And for the record I wasn’t anywhere near alone in expressing my frustration with this scalper, I realize it got out of hand and we were all deleted, but it was a decent number of us. I was just the most persistent (and immature I admit) since I had actually been cart swiped on this very item and was overly frustrated and hot under the collar here! Won’t happen again.

Thank you for keeping this forum in balance. Love ya.

D Docscoot you and someone who joined today were the only ones to post in that thread.

Incorrect, there was a long discussion a day or two ago in the same thread, same idea, several annoyed with the scalping, I didn’t even start it actually, also deleted.

I stand corrected. Those posts were removed on the initial day and by someone else. I did not see them when they were initially posted.

I’m sure you and the others who posted initially were also notified not to continue. I don’t like flippers as much as anyone else, matter fact it’s turned me off completely to a certain brand. That said I will always do my best to enforce the rules equally.
