So now I have two memberships?

Back on October 1st I registered for this forum. I immediately purchased a $25 membership because I believe in supporting these kinds of sites.

I didn't log in again until today. I was unable to use the Search function, I had no Private Message storage allowed, and I could not find any reference to myself being a paid member here, however I was showing up as registered, so I thought that maybe I didn't remember correctly and I had never purchased a membership.

So I went ahead and purchased another membership at the $10 level. Using the verification email that I received from that purchase I was able to search my emails and discovered that YES I did indeed purchase the $25 membership previously.

So now what do I do? I have two memberships apparently, but only the Basic one is still showing up. What happened to my original Gold membership? I have the confirmation emails from both payments (totaling $35 now BTW).

And the search function is really... not something that I have been able to gain results from. :confused:

We'll have to wait for Spark to sort your your memberships.

Meanwhile, we have a sticky here in the Service & Support forum which should help you with the Search function: Search Engine FAQs & Tips. You can use any outside search engine as well by entering site:Bladeforums.com and your search terms.
 
Thank you for the search tips, especially the outside search engine trick. That sounds like a pretty cool idea. :)

Do you have two separate profiles?
 
I was just looking at the confirmation emails and it looks that way. But when I attempt to log in using the Paranrs userid it won't allow it. I really believe that my first membership was purchased under the 47WILLYS userid.

The email address used in the confirmation emails is the same. I really don't think that I have two profiles, but if I do that would make sense as far as why things are mixed up.

Paranrs paid $25 for a membership on October 1, 2008, still showing Registered User.
47WILLYS paid $10 for a membership on October 13, 2008, showing as Basic Member.

Are you using the 27WILLYS email, and password to access both accounts?
 
The same email would be used for both accounts, and the same password. However, I am not able to log in on the Paranrs account now. I wasn't even aware that I had that account until I began to put the facts together tonight.

This is a bit mixed up. Paranrs is a username that I would have chosen first. I have used it before on other forums, etc. I seem to recall that I had some difficulty with using it so I had to select another name. I must have created an account and not realized it, logged in while believing that I was logged in on the other account and purchased the membership at that time (thinking that I was upgrading the 47WILLYS account.)

That is the only thing that I can figure out. It also would seem that part of the problem I undoubtedly had was the confusion from the Gold membership never becoming activated.

Okay, well if the Paranrs account can be somehow activated with the Gold membership then I will just use that one, and you guys can perhaps lock the 47WILLYS account? I would imagine that users are only permitted a single account.
 
Users are only allowed one account. You have different email addresses for each account.

You seem to have forgotten the password for the Paranrs account? See if you can access it, and we can go from there. If you can access it, you may find it is a Gold membership.
 
This is interesting... I am now able to access this account with no problem, and it is now upgraded to the Gold level.

I swear I wasn't able to access it before! LOL

EDIT - well it's time for me to get some sleep. Thank you for the help and sorry for the confusion! I'm not sure what to do about the other paid account.
 
Let's wait till Spark can decide how to handle the Basic membership from the 47WILLYS account, and then we will close that one, and you are good to go as Paranrs!
