My mother just purchased her first Becker. She threw down on a FPR BK15.
This proves again, the ladies love the Becker.

Wow the only knives my mom has ever bought was the kind that belong in the kitchen... Maybe ill buy the bk15 and let her try it out. Hmm ideas ideas.

my mom always FREAKS OUT and refers to my BK2 kitchen knife as that "scary black knife" :D whenever i pitch in and help prepare food at family cookouts. the real kicker is she wont even let me sharpen her kitchen knives because she seems to think shes more likely to cut herself with a sharp knife. i guarantee if i gave her a Becker it would never leave the knife drawer.

Yeah, Mama loves the versatility of the 15. Just as good for whittling wood as it is at food prep in the kitchen.

This is not as uncommon as it should be...
You should offer to let half the air out of her tires and remove a couple spark plugs from her engine.

Kudos to the bk-15 buyer. yes indeed. I was thinking about one for the knife block too.

Of course if you showed up in MY kitchen with a BK2 for food prep I'd yell at you for bringing the wrong tool for the job, and replace it with a proper kitchen blade. Unless, of course, we were batoning mastadon.

My gf wants a 5 and a 15 for kitchen duty. She's a cook by trade so she sees the trailing points as great culinary designs. I gotta admit, the 5 would look great hanging above my butchers black too.

I'm slowly getting my mom hooked. I'm gonna take her with me to the local knife shop that I know has the tweeners in stock and I'm gonna see how she does with it. If she doesn't go for a tweener I'm betting she will go for one of the baby blades(11/14). She already carries a spyderco and a SAK.

my Mom has an irrational paranoia of sharp items. She freaks out when I ''play with a knife'' LOL She will barely use a kitchen knife...and it's a good thing cuz that woman is accident-prone!

Are you sure your not talking about my Mom?
