So...Saw this one in a movie tonight, look familiar?

Looks like some version of a Benchmade Fact. But I've never seen one with that handle.

Is that snobby and overpriced Scotch?

...probably a Reeves or Benchmade. 🤷‍♂️ (*posted with my pinkie in the air)

*EDIT- Damn! K killgar killed my funny.

Looks like a Benchmade Axis lock .

I imagine I can see a fuzzy blur of their butterfly logo .

Resembles the 417 Fact but without the handle windows ?

Killgar beat me to it ! :)

The Prop Master probably had the scales stained, covered with a thin over-layer, or switched out to match the colour for the scene better than the original scales, likely at the request of the Director of Photography.

I read somewhere that a lot of blades used in film, not for stunts or action sequences, are personal effects from either cast or crew. Some actors are very particular about that "props" they use.
It is possible that this was a personal piece added last minute that belonged to a crew member.

That being said there are aftermarket scales out there for the 417.

Kinda looks like a BM 417 Fact with Dragonfly Ivory Scales.

Thanks for the replies everyone!

I knew it looked familiar but the scales threw me off, but those Dragonfly scales on the Fact look like a match.

BTW, the movie wasn't all that good...

There don't appear to be any holes for the pocket clip screws in the movie knife.

The Dragonfly scales for the Fact all have holes on both sides.

Personal items often make their way into movies. In Pulp Fiction, Sam Jackson's character has a wallet that says "bad mother f***er on it. That was Tarantino's personal wallet.

True. But;
1. A 6th grader could fill in those holes.
2. Those scales may be some other, but very similar aftemarket scales.
3.Those scales may have been made specifically for the movie by the prop people.
4. Whatever....lol.
