I use my CQC7A on a daily basis.
Although retired, I am forever being roped in to do some or other project. I sometimes think I am the only bloke in this little village that can weld, use power tools or read a plan.
Anyway, being a typical tradesman, various bits and pieces, spare parts, bolts, screws, nails and tools find their way into the same pocket that houses my knife.
So my hand travelled into my pocket, looking for something or other, every few minutes.
The angular shape of the Emersons handle became a bit of a problem. So I rounded the corners. Especially the corner at the lanyard hole was drastically rounded. The knife took on a smoother rounder appearance.
This was a great improvement, but the scales were still a bit like sandpaper and when my hands were damp, kept on gripping at the skin every time I put my hand into my pocket.
After reading a thread here I removed the scales and sanded them smooth. I could not believe the difference it made to the practicality of carrying the knife I hardly know its there.
It looks good too.
