Well, as much as its putting me in the poor house, I gotta say I'm proud of my little collection of Kershaws. Don't know if I'm ready to be admitted into the sacred circle, but I'm getting there. Its kinda funny, but when I first started collecting, a few years back, when all I saw were the standard Leek's, etc at Wal-Mart, I didn't really have a whole lot of respect for Kershaw. Now, however, I realize the truth -- that they obviously make some damn fine knives, and even their "budget" blades are some great pieces of cutlery.

I've got a second CB ZDP-189 Shallot on the way, but I've still got a few more to find........a Ti/ZDP Leek, an S110v Shallot, maybe even a Skyline or two.
I'm on my way to getting on the ZT train, as well. I had a ZT 0560, but for some reason, I just didn't really get into the groove with it like I expected to. The detent was so weak that if I turned it blade down and tapped it, the blade would fly out.........super smoothly, of course, but it just needed to be much stronger. I ended up selling it, but I'm missing it a bit now, and I have a feeling that I'm going to grab an 0560CFCB sometime in the future, along with an 0566. I really think I need to get a ZT 0200. Also, can anyone tell me which Zero Tolerance is it that has the Composite Blade with what looks like upward facing shark teeth? I'm kinda fond of that one, as well, even though I've only seen it once.
In addition, I was lucky ( and I mean LUCKY ) enough to get in on a pre-order for a ZT 0888Max, and there is no doubt that one way or another I'm gonna get my hands on an 0777 and the lovely0600.
Anyway,You don't see too much talk on these forums about Shun cutlery, but I absolutely adore my Shun Kaji SG-2 damascus knife set and my Shun Ken Onion VG-10 core damascus chef's knife. I'm sure there are folks who are into custom made stuff who can find reasons why its better, but for a production set of kitchen blades, they are wicked sharp, hold an edge like nothing you've seen, and are beautiful, at that. So, it was actually my Shun kitchen knives that caused me to take a second look at KAI -- and ZT and Kershaw in particular.
So, my question is.......what was it that caused you to start seriously looking into Kershaw and ZT? Did see one and just decide you had to have it based on looks? Did you see or handle one at a store or that owned by an acquantance? Did you grab a lower end model and love it and then work your way up through the line-up?
And lastly...........what is your favorite KAI blade and why?
Have a good one!
