So the mail man cometh bringing my birthday gift to myself. I ordered the 1212 knife but it says 1214 on the box and 1211 on the blade. Either way I'm not complaining. I installed the rubber grommets on the grip and since I was out of eezox I coated the blade with hoppes #9 oil with weather guard then let it sit and then patted it somewhat dry. Then I sprayed each side of the blade down with rem oil and let it sit until it was nearly dry then patted off the excess. Then I took a hoppes silicone gun cloth while wearing gloves and wiped the blade down and the pommel down and let it dry. Then put it in the safe. Not in the sheath of course.

Yeah, go stab something. Reading the post, I was foaming at the mouth scrolling down to check out some leather.... That's no safe queen! She needs some sap! Congrats on the nice blade, I got a pile of o-rings somewhere, looks great!
 
O rings are the thing, but they make a leather handle feel..........icky.

I don't know, my leather handled 'Bars have sweat, blood, and dirt. That' ain't no place for rubber.....

but on the Kraton, Oh My Gawdess, does it work.

Lol,

In all seriousness I've heard the more "items" you have dipped the cheaper it is. I was going to have my AK and ten mags dipped. I figured while they were at it they could throw the kabar into the vat to and maybe several other knives!
