So the USPS lost my new Bushcrafter....and then found it!!!

After a sometime without a FBF blade due to some tight finances, I finally got back in and ordered the sweet maroon Bushcrafter from KSF. Shipped the same day was scheduled to be here today. Constantly checking the statuts with the tracking number seemed to help as it arrived in town a day sooner than expected and it was out for delivery yesterday. It seemed as if nothing could go wrong. I had it delivered to my work so that I would be around when it arrived before lunch. Time was ticking away. The mail arrived....nothing. So I waited some more thinking that it would come later in the day. And I waited some more. I even stayed after work. Finally, at about 6:00 pm, the status updated and it said that the knife was delivered at 11:55 am. WTH?!?!?! I can't get anyone at USPS last night. I check with all of the other suites in my building today and even the suites on the building across the parking lot. Nothing.

Finally got someone on the phone at USPS who said that it was a good idea to open an investigation as it says the knife was delivered and that someone would get back to me within 24 hours.

So....what do you think my chances are in getting my knife?

That stinks! Please keep us informed. If the USPS pays a claim to Derrick, I don't mind making a replacement knife.
 
That sucks, was there insurance on it? I've had that happen once with UPS with a bunch of gun parts, and luckily for me the person on the phone with UPS was extremely helpful and actually contacted the driver immediately. It turns out he delivered the packages to my neighbors several houses down my street.

If you work in a building there's a pretty good chance he accidentally delivered it to the wrong office/suite. Open up a claim with USPS and contacting the seller is the only thing you can do right now.
 
Crossing my fingers for you , I too ordered a Bushboot from KSF due to arrive today ! The sharks out here are just too fierce , still waiting on a Runt or a Palmer:o
 
Keep the faith it still might be on its way....I can't tell you how many times I've had the USPS tracking tell me a knife was out for delivery or out for delivery and delivered only to have it show up the next day......an evil trick or is it a delivery quota some poor temp. is trying to meet.......
 
Well, it just showed up. The mailman said the guy yesterday who was covering for him some how managed to put in a mail box in an office building down street and cannot figure out why as there was nothing in the address to confuse it with mine. But, apparently it has not been the first time. Well, anyway its here and it is awesome. Everything I remember FBF to be.
