So, there'll be NO manix in full serrated?

I seem to remember seeing one this weekend at a gun show...

I'd probably buy one even though I don't like g-10 handles that much just because I'd like to try out a serrated edge done is S30V steel. And I really like the design of the Manix.

I cary small fixed blade PE for utility these days.

Would love to have the full serated for back-up. And the Manix is just LOVELY. Para is a bit too small, Military is a bit too pointy.

;)

With the Lil Temperance they waited until the knife was discontinued then made an extremely limitied number of fully serrated Lil Ts. I got lucky enough to find one. Maybe the same thing will happen with the Manix.

Why not? :)

A few have mentioned that the Manix is quite large & heavy, so how about a smaller version?
Dare I say this could be the next Calypso Jr?

sal,

i'm thinking that in the box with the warranty paper, it'd be a good idea to include a post-paid survey form with some multiple choices, like "what is your favorite blade style?" with spear, wharncliff, hawkbill, tanto, etc graphically illustrated, then "what length would you most prefer", with lengths (if they can be done life-size with models of a endura/delica/similar at any given length, that would be cool), "what handle style do you prefer" (CF, g10, FRN, exotic, etc), and "which design do you enjoy the most?" with a web link to the spyderco page and instructions on giving model number might draw in some people that are a little less involved then us regulars (i know i don't post as much as many here, but i'm around, and contribute when i find that i might have a useful comment) and give you better feedback. just a thought. you could change the warranty slip to warranty registration card and hope people fill it out without getting hardline about who has filled out hwat, just using the responses as a better guage for public opinion. us knife knuts often are a good guage for what works (and sometimes good input for design ideas!), but getting the opportunity for an opinion every time someone purchases must be a good way to get some real data to work with. you could even devise a system where the designs most called for on here and on the company forums are shown as potential things to choose from. lots of potential. in any case, that's my two cents, and if you would like some (pro-bono) brainstorming on promo tactics, i'll be around.
