It only took a couple weeks but the traditional bug bit me hard:

Thanks to everyone here for sharing all your knowledge!

That's a nice start. You do know that there are companies other than GEC who make slipjoints, don't you?

:p

There's no hope for your wallet now.

Welcome to the money vacuum. :D

Yeah, that's been known to happen. First there's the one to get the feel of the traditional knife, then you like the feel, so more follow quickly. Next thing ya know, your wallet is getting very thin, very fast. :D

Very nice group of knives you have. You need to get one more so you can carry a different knife in each front pocket each day then you would be on a three day rotation. Makes sense to me anyway.

Nice !! what patterns are those ?

From top to bottom:

#47 Viper in natural stag
#73 in cocobolo
#68 Buckaroo in purple jigged bone
#15 Diamond Radio Jack in ebony
#15 Day's Work Barlow in african blackwood

I am really excited about each one. The 68 has seen the most pocket time so far, but I except that will change as time goes on.

Beautiful line-up! Yes, this can be addicting. I'm trying to limit myself to a dozen (or so).

Welcome to traditionals :)

Nice job on your fine selections.....can't wait to see where this goes!

that's amazing.
I hope i won't go the same route because yesterday i also bought my first traditional :)

Thank you guys for the compliments. There is definitely a certain style that appeals to me, it's nice to see that other's appreciate it. I think one of my favorite things about traditionals so far has been how just the smallest differences make each knife so unique, like the Radio Jack and the Barlow, they are both on the #15 frame but they feel totally different. Seems to be part of the addiction.

Keep us posted mantzao, I bet you can't go with just one (mine certainly seem to be multiplying rapidly).

i certainly will.
i'm still a bit confused by all the numbers # and patterns but a sienna jigged bone Viper is already mine;)
it will take a while to get to me but still i'm happy.

Nice choices. I own the same patterns, except with multiples!

Just a hint of where this is headed for you

That bug bites hard doesn't it. It all started for me a couple months ago with a case trapper. Then I decided everyone needs at least one case sodbuster. Then I saw the bull nose and decided to upgrade. Then figured a larger blade would come in handy so I snagged a madison Barlow. Then figure I needed something completely different so I got a viper. The figured what's a collection without a lockback? Now I have a Missouri trader inbound. It was suppose to end with the trapper 😩

You've got a nice selection there that should cover your needs for the rest of your life! Good choices all around.
