Hi all,

Much like many other first timers CRK buyers out there, its a bit of a plunge into the "deep end"
of the knife pool. Particularly for my wallet. But this knife hobby has a way of pulling you over there...
About a week ago, I purchased a small, BG-42 sebbie with blued handles & clip from westllen.
It arrived yesterday and I picked it up at the P.O. Within the first minute of handling it:
I understood all the fuss.

Everyone raves about the quality and until I properly handled one, its something you dont
notice from pictures or a 5 minute look-over at an Excalibur outlet. The lockup, as my buddy
(whos also a knife enthusiast) said, is like a bank vault.

The handle is much grippier in hand than I assumed and although it feels small its surprisingly
big once its open. And the handle colour works for me. I was initally looking at inlays but
glad that I got this one.

Wish I could leave it in the cupboard but I believe in buying users so I'll be EDC'ing this one
and frankly, I think this is "the one"... as in the main knife I'll be EDC'ing for a while.
(I've already started selling off the rest of my knives) Of course, I may have to try out a
large Sebbie down the road but its a bit too large for my needs.
I guess you can put me down as an official CRK member! :D

That one looks sweet...how bout a picture of the front. I don't think I've ever seen a blued seb...were they once offered?

Yes, I think westllen customized it himself although I may be wrong..
Heres the front:

Apologies for the poor pictures...

You are sunk once you have tasted the fruit! Great buy. I don't think I will ever use another framelock--this is the king! Use and enjoy!

Welcome to a slippery slope. :p

Scored a BG42 large Sebbie on trade.
Purchased a small plain reg to gift to my father.
Working on a trade/purchase deal for a large & small classic
Budgeting for a small unique gfx with damascus which caught my eye.

Did I mention this is all within the last 2 weeks? :(/:)

It is done with a torch. Ti turns colors when introduced to a high heat flame. I have torched 2 of my Sebenzas in the past. Works well and gives different colors depending on the time it spends in the flame.
