I love that pattern, is that a hydro-dip? I know I tried to paint that pattern (the white hex pattern) into my 870 no less than 6 times (stripping it after each failed attampt) and finally gave up and cerakoted it flat coyote tan. However its done it looks awesome.

It's actually a steel or aluminum honeycomb mesh infused inside the scale. Pretty expensive material. I believe it's referred to as Ctek.
Anyhow, preacher was awesome and very informative as to the complicated nature of the scale... I just don't remember all the details.
