so tops actually made this......

i actually like the one TOPS knife i have, and both of the Buck/TOPS knives as well, but that is not something id consider buying.
im betting its gonna be too pricey for the typical mall ninja, so who IS gonna buy it?

I have alot of respect for tops knives, and some of their designs such as the alaskan harpoon really appeal to me. I dont think of them as a mall ninja company. The ads may be a little over the top, but neve the less they design some solid products. I really dont know what they were thinking with this one. it boggles my mind.

Yeah I saw that silly thing in SHOT videos. I really don't see the point. It would be both less expensive and more functional to simply piggy-back the smaller knife on the same sheath.

SPECIAL OPS...TRUST TOPS...CAUSE THEY'RE HARD TO THE CORE...

That's from their website. pretty damn laughable. HARD TO THE CORE!:D

Well, at least we have some of the infamous TOPS marketing to explain it all in the product description:

"This is definitely not a knife for a Wanna-be...This is Survival-Tactical plus some...."

Whatever that means...

Yeah I have no idea what they were trying to actually say there other than spew advertising verbiage. Their marketing is kind of laughable and many of their designs are...ummmm...of the sort I'd be embarrassed to carry. But if you sift through 'em they do have some real winners. The Shango and the Power Eagle come to mind.

I do like the armaggedon, pasayten and apache dawn, but that's pretty much what I like from them.

Wow. That's terrible. I have a lot of love for some of Tops' knives (like the B.O.B. and a few others) but that thing is awful.

It's craptacular!

It's great to see a company that combines Dark Ops designs with Cold Steel advertising for the cost of a hand made knife.

It's a shame about TOPS because they are very similar to ESEE knives in quality, fit n finish etc., but TOPS' designs are poor. If they brought in a few good designers they would be making top knives (no pun int.).
