I snagged a sweet SAR myself. Black coating with micarta scales. Now I have 1 more thing I need to make kydex for :rolleyes: :D If the weather holds I plan on carrying it soon on a short hike near Mt Rainier :) Sorry no pics at this time. Nice meeting you there Troy! I am sure we'll be doing some more business soon. Keep us informed of the shows you do :) I was almost shocked when I saw the table. Smart move of the Headquarters getting someone out here to sell the Rats. I was getting jealous of all the guys back East getting all the goods.
 
It was great to meet you as well Bill! I will definitely keep everyone informed of any shows I may have -- in fact, I may be in Puyallup next month. ;) We'll see what happens.

But I will definitely go to Blade West...hopefully we'll get to meet some more Rats and Hogs, but I will swing by your table and say "hi". :D

Edited for clarification: I am not running a booth at Blade West. I'm still clinging to a hope that someone from Ohio (or Kentucky..hint, hint) comes out to play. I will be a spectator/customer type at this particular show. :D

LOL...I'll see what I can come up with. Unfortunately I didn't get as many pics as I'd have liked. It's tough to keep your focus around that many toys. ;)

I realized after RokJok and Scales left that my camera had stayed in my pocket the whole time!

Bill, Congrats on getting one of those sweet SAR's. You are right, sir -- those gol-durn eastern Rats have been seeing way too much of the action. I'm hoping for a more consistent Rat presence in the West in the future.

I intend to stop by your table at Blade West at the end of the month, assuming I can find you in the madness. Love your straightforward, utilitarian, no-BS designs and great edges. I still kick myself for not getting your mid-size Hoodlum II when I had it in hand at Puyallup a few years ago. That sting just doesn't go away. :(

At the Rose City show I got shut down. I had along the $$ for a Swamp Rat Bog Dog in D2, but no joy. :grumpy: So all I got knifewise was a smooth steel from the outfitter guys who had the elk butchering equipment and a $3 Super-Knife clone from the surplus tool folks.
 
Well, i was not so lucky, I left there with 3 Rats,It should have been 4,and i should of picked up one of Bills knives,that someone else was selling.Its only a couple of weeks until blade,I might make it.Also 360,Did they ever find Dunner?Or is he still lost in the woods :eek:

Glad Troy had a chance to meet some of youse guys. That reaally adds a new dimension to these forums, puttin a face with a name (screen and real), as well as a real personality vs the forum one. :cool:
 
Well, according to River 8 they found him...though I haven't heard from Dunner personally, so it's all just hearsay. Hmmm...I guess that it all depends on whether you believe that River 8 is telling the truth. :thumbdn: :thumbup: :p
