While over at a friend's house last night, she pulled out a knife to show me (knowing that I'm the knife guy in our circle of acquaintances.)

Her knowledge of knives is that they can fold, lock and are made of steel, so I hardly expected much. But I took it and saw this little logo:

"What? A schrade?" I thought. Her dad, also not a knife guy, apparently got lucky in his old buying habits and passed it down to her. I know very little about triditional knives myself, so I thought I'd post a couple pics up here and see what exactly she has and what you guys thought of it.

She has a well used, but not abused Schrade stockman. I can't read the model number on the tang stamp, but it is a medium stockman I believe and it has stainless steel blades (Schrade +). Someone here with that model will chime in to tell you more about it.

Schrade old timers are the a stand by, and grow on you. It is magical.
