So what exactly does the "Ignore"button do here?

Does it block threads from that person? DMs? Replies? Not that I'm having an issue with anyone. I'm in the habit of hitting it whenever someone posts a sale for some obscene markup, or ridiculous trade request. I just know I'm not going to be interested in anything else they post going forward. Considering I don't really know for sure what the button does, am I wasting my time with it?

I believe it just blocks you from viewing their posts .

I never used it , so I could be wrong . 🤷‍♂️

If you have a member on ignore, you don't see their posts or threads. The only way you will see a post from that person is if another member quotes it.

Xenforo is built on a database engine. When you click on a forum to go look at it, you are actually sending a query to the server and it gives you a report of the results. When you put someone on ignore, it tells the server to filter those results and remove any from that person.

So if you put a seller on ignore, you will not see any of their sales threads until you remove them from your ignore list.

I'm pretty sure this also includes DMs.
