So What is the big Spyderco announcement ?
Can someone break it down to me?

I bet it is not a ZDP framelock.
 
Are you talking about the "teaser"? I might be wrong, but I believe it's that they'll be doing passarounds on the spyderco forum.
 
Actually according to Kristi in a post in the passaround thread, the passaround is not the "big" announcement that we are all still waiting for that is supposed to be announced by week's end.

If you've been dealing with Spyderco for any length of time, you know all about "due dates". I certainly hope Sal doesn't rent movies.

Look for this big announcement around the middle of June. :rolleyes:

Unless, of course, it's an announcement that some models are going to be a "little" late. :p

I suppose they could do what so many other manufacturers do and release half-tested and half-a$$ed junk just to make a quick dollar at the expense of the ELU. :D

Seriously, I can say with 100% certainty that it is not a delay of some kind. The impending announcement is supposed to be GOOD news, after all. :cool:

Due dates? We don't need no stinkin' due dates! :D You guys obviously never got involved with Camillus over the 7" CUDA MAXX. I ordered mine and sent payment in July, 2002 and finally received it in November, 2004. And the damned thing was defective! Of course, Camillus made it good, but you can imagine how I felt.

Spyderco had a delay much the same on the original C-19 Terzuola Jr. Clipit. It took something over 6 months from time of order to delivery. But it was, and is, one sweet little knife from the get-go.
 
Kristi just let us know on the Spyderco Forums that the announcement will not be this week. A little hiccup she said.

Yep, one more week of checking the forum daily.....wait a second, I DO THAT ANYWAY! :D.
