Well it seems Spark was able to gather his forces and pulled a Military Coup, thereby installing himself on the Bladeforums throne!
Now all moderators will be required to wear a pink tutu when performing their duties.

Spark is moving 1SKS to a new location and has some exciting plans in store for Bladeforums. Sit down and hang on tight, it could get bumpy.

(I don't have a clue to what is going on.)

Here's a nutshell of some of the things...

No, this was not a military coup. Yes, I've taken over 1SKS and BladeForums.com - Mike's going to focus on his upcoming projects like the Microtech Tachyon and some other interesting things in the works. He also want's to get back in the wholesale game, and put his marketing talents to use.

Meanwhile, on the 1SKS front, There's good news and bad news:
We're in the middle of moving to our new warehouse. Actually, we're about 90% done with that. The bad news is that our new merchant services company has really screwed up our account and we can't charge for orders yet, possibly until Monday night, which means that we can't get any orders out the door. Without the ADSL, our email services are going to be slow at best as well.
The good news is that we've moved the computers, inventory, phones, paperwork, etc over. Our network is live, we can print, and our phone system works - we now have double the previous lines, and we're training a new salesperson. Now, we're just waiting on ADSL (possibly 2 weeks) and some furniture / inventory racks and then we'll be up to speed.
On the plus side - we can take orders. On the minus - we can't ship them out. Orders that were waiting on inventory that has come in in the past few days will start shipping as early as tomorrow. Orders that came in last weekend till now haven't even been processed yet due to the move and transition. I apologize for the delay - tomorrow is going to be a hellacious, 15 hour day (like the last 5) and it's going to be devoted to catchup.

On the BladeForums.com side - Nothing major has changed yet, we're still a good 14 days or so before we see anything noticeable.

We just took delivery of 2 brand spanking new Dell servers today - one will be for BladeForums.com, the other will be for 1SKS. BFC is getting the buffed up one, twin PIII 866's, with 4 RAID capable hard disks for 40gB of storage and a full 1gB of RAM - smokin'!

So, as soon as I can get them configured, we're going to start rocking and rolling around here... look for changes to the forum software, the return of the links section, etc. Should be pretty cool.

Been looking for a good time to say that for years. Finally found it!

wow, i'm kinda stupid, i was checking out some of the models for the knives being sold on 1sks.com and i read the part about new ownership, but i didn't realize that the new owner was he who is known as Spark, i guess i'm just a little slow... Spark, congratulations on the new setup, i hope bladeforums.com and 1sks continue for years to come. Good luck getting everything caught up.
