i have picked up quite a selection of khurks and the one that seems to always be with me in easy reach at night is my horn Chiruwa AK by Bura--just a awsome knife--and heck if i bend or break it defending me or my own i get two in return--LOL  :)

The one I happen too pick up first, but generally the little 14" BDC I traded Nasty out of is real handy.:D  :D
It's short enough too swing in the house and fast enough too get several piss in pants afraid swings outside before anything that goes bump in the night knows what hit 'em. :p :D ;)

The walnut handled villager would be my choice if I didn't have a S&W M1917 45 revolver by my bed.

These two reside under my bed. The pistol is a Smith and Wesson Model 10 and the khuk is an 18" Kobra by Sher.

An example of what the S&W can do at 33'.

I love revolvers. :D

Probably my wifes Sarge. Allows me to manuever my pump shotgun that much more easily. I've also got our family dog who happens to be eighty pounds of teeth and muscle for ripping, tearing, and puncturing things or beings. :D

Pen knife for the smaller bumps (handy, fast and straight enough to stab (mine has a guard)), 18" Gelbu Special for the larger ones... (fast - but maybe a bit long for indoor use...)

20" chiruwa sirupati by Sanu. Wonderfully balanced, and long enough so that I can reach out and touch someone. :D

Favorites go back & forth.

You may have your differences, but no one argues with .45 & 14" BDC.

Ad Astra

Sorry, threw in the 10" BDC because it's very-very well done. Yes, those are hand-picked cocobolo grips. Ol' slabsides rules.

18" WWII and 1911 for bedside at home(Rem 870 is close too)
or
16.5" Chiruwa AK and GP100 when traveling

The AK bowie and an old 12 gauge with the rock salt, buckshot, buckshot, deer slug special. I try to be fair to 'em;) besides, i'm a crappy shot. If they get past the deer slug, they probably won't get past the bowie...i'm pretty handy with that knife because i use it for EVERYTHING.

20 in Sirupita by Bura and S&W 6906 9mm. If my Sig P220 (45) were here it would be in place of the S&W but right now thats all I got here.

In a hotel room if I have traveled other than by air, I will have my 15" Sirupati and my Fox Labs pepper spray. The Sirupati is very convenient for travel and I think an excellent deterrent.

At home it's Mr. Glock 23.

Not to mention Streamlight Strion, very bright incandescent tactical light for momentarily blinding someone if needed.

I put a note on the door asking that any home invader please wake me, and start the coffee, serving me a cup( black with sweetner,) then wait ten minutes, perhaps playing with the dog, until I wake up.

THEN, we'll talk weapons.

It has worked so far. No one wants to go to the trouble of making the coffee, I guess. :)

Be well and safe.

16.5 Chiruwa AK,

remington 870 20 ga youth model. I like short stocks.

No handguns for awhile! :(
