Why did Swamp Rat debut the Mini Spec Ops about 2 years ago saying it would be released soon? Can someone tell me what the real problem is? It looks like there are alot of people looking for this to be answered. Every time I see someone posting a question about it they just seem to totaly ignore them. What the he11 is that! I personally love the design and can't wait till its release. I'd like to be able to order one before my 70th birthday! Which is quite along time from now. I know, how about somebody directly with this company answer us?????? Sorry to sound so hasty but c'mon.

Hi MK,

I wish that I could help you out and answer your questions. Heck, I've asked the same questions in the past. The mini is a fantastic design and has created quite a stir on this forum. However, one thing that I've become accustomed to with this company...they have more ideas for blades than they could possibly manufacture.

The Swamp has presented several knife "teasers" and only a few of them have been made. We can continue to keep the mini thread alive and hope, but there was never a guarantee.

I know that I don't work for Swamp Rat, but I wanted to bring up my view and ensure that you weren't being totally ignored.

Hope this helps some.

I don't know if this has been considered or discussed before, and I'm not about to read 79 or so pages of the "Mini-thread" to find out, and I'm by no means suggesting this as a working theory, but they may have agreed to a statute of limitations of sorts with the organization for which the original specops was designed. Considering the demand, there's probably a significantly valid reason for not producing it. That's why I respectfully demand my mini-specops!

I refuse to believe Res-C is gone, but as far as the mini goes, it has not been the only piece of cheese dangled in front of the rats. The four knives of the "Mudder" handled d-2 series were seemingly going to come out one after the other after the "Bog Dog" came out. There was a naming contest for the next D-2 knife, and the contest was even extended a bit, and then just mysteriously ended. no explanation, no excuses, just nothing.

your lack of faith is disturbing.

sit back and relax. the rest of us must do the same. :D

In that 79 or so pages, the only possible explaination that we've come up with is this...

We've concluded that there must be a large group of terrorists that have taken over the shop. Pointing and waving guns around -- there's lots of yelling in some foreign language. Occaisionally they shoot up the place. Anyhow, they must be forcing the entire shop at gunpoint to not make the mini specops.

The shop has been under terrorist control for over two years now. We must do something. :(

You guys don't have yours yet?

Truth is that they made them already but I raided the shop and have them all at my secret underground lair.

Ya Mon!

Sit Back, get a Rostefari, a Red Stripe and chill.

In Wauseon, time is on a different plane.

It all will happen, just not to your schedule.

Perhaps not everyone wants one? :o

Besides, Res C may be gone. :D
It can't be all gone if they are still coming out with the Battle Guard (which has Resiprene C handolas..) :p

Not to mention all of the Howling Rats and Bandicoots that have yet to be delivered...
