So, Where in the world (US) is...

It arrived at my door yesterday morning. 12-16-2002. It is a cute little thing. Well worth owning I think. I did not get to cut anything with it as I got home late from Christmas shopping. I will be shiping it to the next man in line on Fri.12-20-2002. This will give me a couple of days after work to play with it. I will fill you all in about my thoughts on it next week.

Glad to hear it got there Rick! The woman at the P.O. promised me it would get to you on Sat., but I guess they're busy with Xmas volume right now.

Disregard my emails---I started to worry they'd lost it on my watch:eek: :)

I miss the little knife already:)

It's a sweetheart ain't it?:D The blade shape and edge profile yield performance you'd expect from a much larger knife, all in a compact and comfortable package. My 12" AK has picked up all the mundane tasks around the house/camp, so my Pen Knife can stay packed and ready for more important work. I hear drums on the wind, so it may not get to rest for long. It may just get the chance to be the first Pen Knife to become a veteran of two campaigns.

Yep:D I don't remember if I posted this on the Pen knife review thread or not, but I chopped into some THICK and dry Maui bamboo that I brought to Maine when i moved. This stuff has wall thickness of 1"+ and is pretty darn hard to cut into. The Pen knife really bit deeply into it!!! I was very surprised, because its so light. Like you said the blade shape and edge profile really make it a great chopper:) IIRC, the Pen knife chopped more deeply into the bamboo than my 15" HI villager did--I think.

Yup. I'm a little nervous about this one, even though (or maybe because) I don't have to go. Cross your fingers and hope for the best, even more so because of the season and the thoughts that go with it......
