I would love to buy the XM-18 3.5 model (especially for the quoted price "XM-18 3.5" Production Model $385.00") but the sight tells me they do not take individual orders and I have checked each and every dealer listed and none of them have that particular model or any Hinderer knife that is in stock and none of them have the price quoted here. So where do you guys get your knives from? How does it work? Is there a list of dealers that will receive the knives next? Is there a production schedule? Do some dealers get knives more regularly then others? Which dealers sell the knives without ridiculous mark ups? Thanks.

You are out of luck. At best you might find it for 650 used somewhere.

Getting a Hinderer at a "quoted price" is not possible unless you are a military or response person.

Unfortunately, I am not military or response person. So none of the 20+ dealers listed on the site sell Hinderers that are new?!!!!!!!!!!! What gives? What is the usual price for a new XM-18 3.5 from a dealer.

A couple 3" are now in stock with 1 dealer and another one will list them soon... ;) Obviously there a no new 3.5" with any dealers now, since the new batch of 3.5" still needs to be produced.

From what I have seen all dealers only get approximately 4-5 new knives...don't forget the XM's are not mass produced, which explains the amazing quality and fit and finish..:)

This topic gets bantered around on the Hinderer Forum quite often. I got one of mine at the Blade 2012 Lottery which is very difficult to get drawn, especially with so many people and so few knives. Otherwise the Blade Forum Exchange is a good spot, I bought and traded for two this year. Then there is Fleece-bay, some deals there just check out knives throughly and check sellers feedback score and history if in doubt post a thread here and you will get lots of help. The advertised price from Hinderer to First Responders, LEO's and Military is definitely below market price. Expect to pay around 2x's their price. That being said, and capitalism as it is, supply and demand kicks in. They are absolutely well designed and made knives, and the Rick and his crew are great people !

Open market price is about 800 bucks - quite ridiculous but when you get that knife in your hands you wont regret paying it.
