And has put some serious miles on it? How is it holding up? I have had a couple of Bantams in my collection for a good while, and I got the large version out today and started edc'ing it. It seems like a solid knife for what it is ( an all pinned polymer framed lockback), and I like the overall feel of the knife. The handle is a bit soft and has a micro amount of "movement" when firmly gripping it.

So has anybody on here put some serious miles on one of these large Buck Bantams, and have some feedback they would be willing to share on here? These value knives have been on the market long enough now to have obtained some good high mileage reviews.

Any takers????? ;):thumbup::thumbup::D

I had one I beat on at work for a while. It was a good knife. The lock isn't that strong, but other than that I still have it. Buck's 420HC is better than some company's higher end steels. I am a Buck fan from way back, and they have been in the game a long time. My first knives were all Buck, and I used them when I was a soldier, and used a couple of them in Iraq. Overall it's a good knife for the money, don't let someof these guys who don't even use their knives tell you otherwise. :)

I have one but I didn't put a lot of miles on it. It's fine at the price point. Pretty handsome grind on it. I put a convex edge on mine. I think there's better options at the price but its perfectly usable.

I've had the Bantam but I've had 2 Bucklite Max folders and used them around the property and for backpacking. Both loosened up considerably in a year's time.

For harder use I would look to the Buck Vantage or one of the metal bolstered lockbacks like the 112 or 500

I haven't carried the large version, but I've been carrying and using the Bantam BBW for several months at work. It does everything I need a knife to do for me throughout the day: cut open blister packs, open boxes, break down cardboard boxes, you name it - its handled it just fine.

Heck, I've even used it as a throwing knife, sticking into cardboard from a few feet away. (work gets boring on occasion ;) )

I've no issues whatsoever with it. The lock up is rock solid and it holds a decent edge.

For the price point, I think its an amazing EDC blade!
