So who went for SG1- The MOAB!!!

a lot of people did, i am sure. i mean, if everything is free, why not?

because in this one it's "only one" and the likely hood of getting a knife that no one is likely to "Want" over another is a little higher. The idea is that if you pick the 500$ credit, you'll be competing with 100 people. If you go for the custom shop harry carry, you might only be competing with 20. If you went for a random numbered credit like 75$ (no large enough for a knife, but larger then most custom work) you might be the only one going for it in the first few minutes of the go thread.

I think the number of people going for the moab is significantly less then some of the other items because people either don't expect to use it and want a better chance of getting something else, or because people just assume they'd never get it but might have a shot at the other onces with fewer people going for them.

I went for the SG13 HR. I figured it like most did, if you wanted the MOAB you went for it, if you really liked something else you didn't mess around.

Someone with a super-fast connection will brag they won it even though they waited until 10pm... :p

Then they'll say they included a 50 meg video in the email "Just so Jerry has something to watch while he's packing my MOAB...":o

If you are going to try...try big...I totally did.

I was seriously tempted by those Scrapyards though and the ASHs too.

I had fun and went for a knife that was free. Its like a really fun lottery:). No regrets anyways. I do hope I win my 25 dollar credit!

I don't know if they'll post it, but it would be very interesting to see how many people requested each offering. However, it would be easiest to process emails if they just discard all but the first valid request for each knife or amount (particularly since they'd need to filter out duplicate emails from the tally for folks who sent multiples), so they may not actually compile that data.

I suspect that fewer people than you might expect requested the MOAB based on an expectation that they'd have so much competition. There was a non-binding poll of what people were going to ask for over on the Scrap Yard forum -- I was quite surprised at how many people said they planned to ask for the $25 Shop Credit (it was second in popularity only to the MOAB).
