So who's 1911 grips just doubled in value this weekend?

WHOA! Who watched those auctions? Tans for $150 and Snake for $220!!!!

I was thinkin of bidding on the tans, then the price went crazy. That was just insane!
 
Saw'em. INSANE!! I tried to snag a set last week on the exchange for decent dough, but was 2nd in line. :( Ah well, I'll get some some day.....just not for $150++ :eek:

Originally $60 for Black or Tan & $70 for SS. I'm really glad I got a SS set at the show.
I didn't own a 1911 yet, but those grips got me to buy one.

I'm glad I got my SS grips here this past week and at a good price to boot. I saw those on "that other site" and nearly crapped myself!

I didn't watch the tan ones, but the winner of the SS set was a schill bidder, or a moron. He had a zero bid history, and bid the price up again and again from the start. I'm betting that auctioneer had to pay the auction and final value fee and still has them lying around wondering why he didn't stop himself. I think he got greedy. He had one guy at $200.
 
Yeeeah...that's kinda rediculous. Mine are still staying on my gun though...got a SWEET pair of G-10...kinda like green and sage g10....they look sweet! I'll bet people would go nuts for those...I've never seen another pair....but again...staying put :D
 
Oh no, you mean I shouldn't have ground up my SS's to make scales for my favorite Tops knife.

I like em both a lot, but that seems really high at least on the tan set because several other companies offer similar grips. I almost understand for the snake.
 
Dang! My tan ones are staying put, even though I don't have them on anything right now. I may send them along when I have my LBC worked on. I am getting a Heinie magwell put on it and a few other modifications, when I get the chance to box it up.
 
Bahh that's just crazy stupid Flea Bay pricing! You never know if someone's family member is bidding just to jack up the price!:grumpy:

Ha! So I wasn't the only one who bought a pair of SS grips but had no gun to put them on!!! Funny thing is....I still don't!:p

I need to do something about that.....
 
Here's a picture of the same 1911 I have....now I just need to find my camera so I can get a picture of MINE!!! :p I dunno which box it's in....just moved.....a MONTH ago :D
