Sounds like a plan, unless the workplace decides it can't live without me, or is it that I decide that I can't live without the overtime...?

Bummer, can't make it. :(
My wife and I are spending the weekend in New Hampshire, while there, I plan on driving to a friends house, as he just got a 6' X1 1/2" bar of duedag. After I get home, I'll take a ride to IG's and forge some of the bar down into blade lenth billets, the rest will be left at IG's for any of the club members to use.

I'm going to try to be there with my young friend Ben Hastings. No table but we will cruise the show. Ben has never been to a knife show but he has been making knives for about a year and a half.....he's only 14 years old and his folders are better than mine! :D

OK Larry...I'll bite. What is duedag????????
Mace
Mace,

Duedag, (certainly spelling is incorrect:confused: ) is a high carbon rebar that is used primarily in construction where their is a high cyclical load, i.e. bridges, elevated parking lots, etc. IG has some at home, Joe Brum, I believe brought it over there.

I'll be on vacation in Maine but I'm going to try to sneak away and make it to the show as a spectator. I am trying to get a knife finished for David Darom's book. If I can swing it, I'll bring it with me.

This was my first show when I was 15. I took my parents to show them that I was not crazy for having a facination with sharp objects. After that I got some power tools for christmas and been making knives ever since!
Hope you can make it.
