How thick are they ?

I have both in house.

the old ones were 3/16" and the newer (a few years ago) were 1/8"

I just got an order for a sheath and he measures 3/16"

Looks like you got some really old new stock :)
 
New old stock, or they actually cut new ones. I suspect the latter.
 
Using the calipers, mine is varies, from just under 3/16" to just over 7/32".
 
Have a hammered silver one inbound; I'll have to compare it to all my early ones.
 
Mine is .215 on the calipers. Measured just behind the plunge line from the spine side. Looks like a heavy coating on this one.
