My wife sometimes calls me a confused SOB but that's not the point to this post.

I currently have a CG sob.

But I was looking at some of the skinnier uncoated versions but I can't find defensive answers on specs. Some show 4.75 length vs 4.5. Some are 3/16 while others are .15. There are protos, le's (.15), and custom shops.

Can someone help me better understand. I'm trying to decide if it's worth the cost to upgrade my cg sob.

Thanks
John

To me it's ALWAYS worth going satin finish on any camp knife sized blade.. just cleaner, slices better, and it's so easy to clean.. I'll post some detailed pics of mine hold tight.. :)

Ask the Sheath maker ;) who has had them all.

The LE was the thinnest but just barely thinner than the Proto's
The CF (which was not surface ground making them thicker) and the coated Combat Grade are almost the same width with the coated just edging out the CF .

All are pretty much the same length but the trailing point and finger groove ones may be a bit shorter

so thinnest to thickest regular point;

LE
Proto
Comp Finish
Combat Grade coated

Hope this helps.
