This one's caught my eye with all the prototypes available for sale lately. Safe to say this will be available on the Busse site for sale soon in a regular run? Wouldn't mind an a satin finished version myself... eventually.

Thanks!

I, like many others here, am with you on this:thumbup:..... Hoping for this AND anxious to see what else might come up....

Boy I sure would like to know how thick they are :)

As mentioned above--Sale threads have specs--".163" thick, 4 11/16" blade, 9 9/16" overall"

Yeah I couldn't wait, I pulled the trigger! Hope you get one Dave, I'm gonna need a sheath! :)

My eyes opened after a long sleep here. For those that have never handled the SHBA, your in for a treat with the SOB!
Some who have handled the SHBA felt it was handle heavy so the SOB should fix that for them.
I do still hope to see a SHBA LE with a sabre grind like the SOB.

I was thinking the same thing, Sufler. Lawd, have I wanted an INFI SHBA since first laying eyes on it. Have resisted buying one on the exchange so far thinking, hey, the ASHBA HAS to be next up, right? However, and though I am pretty new to the Busse Madness, it has become apparent to me that it does NOT have to be up next - or EVER. . . . So then I see this sweet SOB for KC, and methinks, hey, why pay a few more bucks on the exchange, when this SURELY is a sign that the SOB/ASHBA will be up next - soon - on the shop site, right?! NOT. Fortunately I came to my senses last night and realized, THIS IS WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR! and no, it may NEVER be a regular offering. I pulled that trigger - thanks, Steve! Can't wait to get her. I'd get one now while you can. (PS - thanks for the suweet SS, Sufler!)

I think a strong clue is found in the picture in another thread which includes a sign with the special knob Creek price and the regular price. If there isn't going to be an offering down the road then there would be no need to post a "regular price."

Often I have wished that my BA-E was only 3/16" thick. This one may be a partial answer to that wish.

Not sure that I agree with you, Mike. We have both been at Blade where certain knives have been offered at what is described as a Show Special discount from the 'regular' price. And then those knives are never sold again, at any price. Jerry has stated at Blade that he offers the special pricing to reward those who go through the trouble and expense of traveling to a show.

This may not be widely known outside the group that does travel to a show. So when a seller quotes the "regular" Show price as $xxx, potential buyers probably don't know that the Show Special price was actually less.

As has been stated before, no one has to buy these knives. If you don't like the price being offered, don't buy it. I see knives almost every day, here and on eBay, that strike me as too expensive. YMMV.
