SOB/ spec ops sheath question

I was looking at the:

Spec Ops Tactical Master, Mini, Black, 5in Blade 100420301

and considering it as a back-up to my leather sheath. Has anyone tried fitting an SOB into this sheath. Thanks brothers

I tried mine in a long Combat Master. Apart from the sheath being much too long (as expected), it was a very loose fit. The only difference in the Kydex insert is length, so it definitely won't be too tight.

That makes sense--I put my Hell Razor in a long master until my Buy Brown came in and it rattled too. They are both about 3/16ths at the spine. I have a custom kydex insert for my TGLB, for when I use the spec ops instead of leather. Thanks for the insight!
 
Can't help you there. I don't have a mini. My guess would be that the Tactical Master Mini has the same insert as the Combat Master Mini, although their lengths are listed as 5" (on Amazon) and 4" (on Spec Ops website) respectively. Spec Ops doesn't have the Tactical Master on its website, and the description on Amazon says it's really more like 4 1/2 inches. I suspect the Combat Master Mini is also really about 4 1/2 inches because their other sheaths will hold a knife a little longer than advertised. I think either one would probably fit a 4 1/2 inch SOB, but I don't know that it would. Perhaps someone who owns a Mini will chime in.
