Well, I gotta share my excitement with you guys. :D Claudio just sent me the tracking info for the chopper he recently completed for me.

Here are his excellent photos!

Steel: San mai 420 / 1095
Measurments: 13.2" overall / 8" blade
Scales: Urunday

Congratulations! I really want one of Claudios knives badly. His work is just awesome. You need to post some pics when you get it. Do you plan to use it?

Thanks, Mike. I absolutely will be using it! I'll definitely post some photos of it when it lands.

Ever since I have laid eye's on Claudio's work I've been dreaming of owning one:thumbup: Congrat's on a truly fine blade, and better yet you are going to use it!

here's mine, just got it about 2 weeks ago. 6" blade so a size down from yours.

I've held a lot of knives. I've loved a lot of knives. Claudio's blade is the first one that I've ever held and felt like the blade might actually be alive. seriously. it calls to you. it looks like it's moving and slicing when it's just sitting there on the counter.

you are in for a treat, that's a good looking blade.

unfortunately life has been busy, so it has maxed out at food prep (and slices a mean rack of ribs :)), but I can't wait for summer in the woods.
 
Glad to hear that you will be using it! I've been using my own chopper from CAS quite alot in the woods, and I can promise you that you won't be dissapointed :thumbup:
Would be nice to see some more outdoor pics of CAS knives in use ;)
 
It arrived today. It is magnificent. I can only hope that one day my knives will be half as nice as Claudio's. He's a very gifted craftsman! Thank you, Claudio. :)

Another great knife from Claudio - I have a slightly smaller one in micarta, and it is a beast:D

I freakin love his knives. The san mai is amazing. No prices that I could see on the website- that I don't like. No idea how much to save up. Dan

I agree with Shawn Hatcher, just email or pm Claudio for prices on his knives.

I'm sure you will get a reply within a day or two. Claudio is a great guy and a pleasure to do business with, you will not regret it ;)
