I live in West LA and with the higher cost of gas and all the traffic, I am not sure about going all the way to Pasadena tomorrow. For anyone who went today, is it worth it?:D

I just got back.....not a bad show. I drove out from North Hollywood and felt it was worth it. Met the crew from ProTech and really like the knives from Leu Customs. Al Warren, RFD, Rich Hale and Don Bell.

In fact I was going to go back tomorrow and pick up a blade from Rich that I was eyeing....but someone hit my BMW in the parking lot and didn't leave a note. $500 comp deductible.....

Thanks Screwdriver and sorry about the ride. Do you know how late the show is supposed to go tomorrow?

yeah a guy hit my dads beamer and smashed the back bumper, a nice 2g's dropped on that

I always make it a point to go whenever I can. My son got to meet Ernie Emerson & made his day! I'm glad that he had a positive influence on him that special day!:)

Over the years I have met quite a few well known Knifemakers. In the early 80's I met Jimmy Lile at a Las Vegas knife show. Best part is I also met Sylvester Stallone at Jimmy Lile's booth. At another show I met Al Buck.....and Lynn Thompson. Al Buck was incredibly cool....When I was 12ish I sent him a letter asking what a Buck counter display case would cost....about two weeks later I got a box with a free counter display, a 119 and a hand written letter from Al.

That's a cool story, Screwdriver!
It was a nice experience for my 9 yr son who drew his own knife design and gave it to Ernie, and without expecting anything, got a surprise from Mary (Ernie's wife) with a CQC-7b trainer! My son's smile was full to the brim!
They were such a nice couple I might say!
