Just arrived from Steve at Extreme Outfitters, plain blade and green handles. Steve said only about 5 were made and that this was the last one. I think there may be sentiment for black handles. If so call Steve and let him know. I would take one with black handles. Otherwise, I will have to switch handles with the Green-T bladed SOCFK that I have. Dick

I got my all black SOCFK-B on Monday. Damn I love this knife! I wonder if EKI will ever make a larger version.

just called extreme outfitters in NC and they have both the tanto and spearpoint in plain edge in stock! Only black scales though...had to get a spearpoint.
this is not helping me save up for the blade show!

Dwenslen- SORRY!

Any sentiment out there to ask Steve to have Ernie make a limited run of SOCFK's with SS Dam Tanto plain blades and MOP scales? I don't see the SOCFK on the Custom/Production line and I believe all SOCFK's still come thru Steve. I realise that this is a pricey knife but one that would be limited in production. Email me with your thoughts. I would be willing to be the point man for this project.

I would be the first one (other than my wife) to admit I don't know everything! Here is one of those things.

What is the difference between a SOCFK and a Specwar? and what does SOCFK stand for/mean?

Special Operations Combat Folding Knife
It is the specwar handle, with some little notches for the pinky and thumb, with a slightly enlarged blade of the cqc7 and the wave for the commander. It was made at the request of some group within Special Operations Command (I would guess).
Of course, you can do the search for SOCFK and find out a bunch more, when they first came out. you can only get them through www.tacticaledge.com (Extreme Outfitters)

Someone here did a "switcharoonie" and made a "Franken-Seven" but can't recall who did it. just do it with a waved 7. and by the time you get a waved 7, you might as well get a SOCFK.

They are all good knives-just depends what you want. It is a specwar with a broader blade and the wave.
get one, you'll love it.
