Just got my second Emerson in as many months. Heres my .02:

1. SOCFK-B

-Small enough for EDC.
-Looks Great.
-Tanto blade partially serrated is very sharp and appears to be very rugged.
-Blade coating looks good but appears to scratch and come off fairly easily with use. The scratches appear more glossy than the finish.
-Ti lock wore in kinda of funny, there is a bit of play(forward to back about 1mm) now when locked

-G10 scales look good, feel good, and work great. The G10 rubs the pocket between the clip pretty bad though. It definatelty does its job.
-The Ergonomics of the knife are super comfortable and are one of the knifes best assets.
-The wave works great.

2. HD-7 SFS

-First thing I notices was how unbelievably sharp the blade is. I was cleaning the blade and accidentally cut my thumb open. The only reason I looked at my finger was because the serrations caught on my nail.
-The looks of the HD-7 are awesome. The Ti slab looks kind of plain yet technical. The Ti also scratches easily. The black highlights really break up the total package, such as the screws, clip, and radial thumb stud. The G10 looks great also.
-Ergonomics feel pretty good but compared to the SOCFK-B it doesn't come close. The HD-7 also feels smaller in the hand which makes sense due to its slightly smaller size.
-Satin blade coating also scratches easily. Scratches appear darker than the coating.
-The Frame Lock is unstopable. Locks up extremely tight and is consistent every time.

-This knife was made for EDC. The Ti slab slides smoothly in and out of the pocket between the clip. The size is as small as I personally would want to carry(I am large framed with big hands) yet I would EDC this knife.
-This knife waves better for me than the SOCFK-B.

What I wish would happen:

SOCFK-HD
-HD-7 Blade with SOCFK length 3.4"
-SOCFK Ergonomics with 5" handle
-HD-7 Ti Slab with Frame Lock
-HD-7 Hardware

I don't know how this setup could be made better. If anyone has an opinion chime in.
