SOCFK Review

I love this knife! I recently picked up an SOCFK and it is everything that I hoped my first Emerson would be. The liner lock is an excellent example of what a liner lock should be. The blade shape is iconic Emerson (I got the "B" blade). the handle is pure ergonomic magic.

i edc'd my green G10 black tanto SOCFK for ~ a yr and it always worked fine, and did anything i needed it to do, when i got mine the '7 wasnt waved and the SOCFK was a bit cheaper, which is why i tried it, great knife, i prefer the handle to the '7 too.

i posted some a while back, its hard for me to post 'em now w/my current membership level but i might give it a try in a day or 2. they are kinda hard to come by no doubt, the green G10's were never common even in the day (my SOCFK is a '00 or '01) i had to wait a while, i really like the green with a black blade, green with a satin blade is cool too but i'm not just crazy about 'em......

i posted a couple of pics of my green G10 SOCFK, my ECA P-tac and my I&I tanto, all fairly uncommon productions.

the last I&I i saw was $350 or $400, same with the ECA P-tacs, IIRC they only made 120 or so of the P-tacs (the P-tac and I&I's are black G10 though ).

IIRC a lot of the ravens had the green, and a lotta commanders and specwars, not real common among the other models though.
 
thanks, also got a couple of customs ( a LNIB '6 and a '13 i edc) and have had a lot of other models i swapped/sold/etc, but i tried to hang on to unusual ones like the I&I/stuff with green g-10 etc, when i got most of them, 10 yrs ago, they were not as popular as they are now, really EKI in general wasnt as popular, most folks had no idea what a SOCFK was, not to mention I&I's, /etc. so being a EKI lover i was lucky to have been around in the "day".

and back in the "day" i never understood why anyone would get a '7 vs a SOCFK, if for no other reason than the '7 was not waved, i also prefer the handle of ther SOCFK.
