If you do a search on "SOCFK" here you'll find 51 strings that mention your new knife.

It's an exclusive design to Extreme Outfitters. Derek clued us all in on the knife on 05/12/00.

There was a very informative post on right after the Blade Show on 06/23/00. Check the information on Custom SOFCKs and numbers ten or under. Here is a link to pictures from the Blade Show and pictures of the "T&E" models (Satin bladed) and low serial numbered SOFCKs.

Those links should wet your appitite for information.

Basically the plan was for there to be two hundred Tanto bladed SOFCKs and one hundred Spearpointed SOCFKs. All, to the best of my knowledge were Black-T, half serrated and serialized. It has been mentioned that there are a few knives over these number and the unofficial explination (I forget from whom) was that some were rejected and instead of filling in the number, EKI just went over the originally planned production by that many numbers. There have been whisperings of another batch of Black-T models, exactly like the first run, but with no serial numbers. I have no idea how true this is, but the market is out there.

There was also a small number of Green-T Tanto bladed SOFCKs made. My understanding was that again, the main market was individual Military orders.

Someone also mentioned that there may have been Damascus bladed SOCFKs at the New York Show last weekend.

The SOCFK is a great knife that had an even better price.

Did I forget anything?

John

I own two Green-T tantos, #048 and 051. A guy I work with owns a Green-T tanto and a Black-T tanto. Steve told me they are the first ones sold to anyone in Washington State. He also told me via e-mail that he may have some green-T spear points after the first of the year.
