I notice that the Kershaw users social group has a cool logo.
I want one too! But- I can't seem to find any way to upload one. Can this be done, and if so, how?

Permissions settings issue - I should have this resolved when I get in the office tomorrow
 
Having an avatar for our FCF social group would be really cool. Everyone could vote on one which would make it more of a group effort.
 
I see other groups adding logo images, but I still do not see how.

Please advise!

How do I upload a logo image for a social group? The image URL is currently blank/empty. How do I format or encode my image into the ten-digit ID missing from the URL? How do I add it to the URL once I know what it is?

Below is my image- 1528 bytes and 80x42 pixels. I believe it is an appropriate size.

If you know how to do this, please share. (Don't do it for me, please.)

Is it the social group's logo? You should be able to see a field and button that allows you to upload images from your computer.

Can you take a screen dump of the page in question and post it here?

You can only create albums in your profile and post them to a group using the link at the bottom of the picture album. I don't think it's set up yet for logos, which would be reeeeeallly cool.

Four social groups now have logo images. :eek:

Someone knows how to do this. :confused:

No one is sharing. :grumpy:

Do I need the freakin' secret handshake or what? :rolleyes:
 
I just clicked edit on the group list and uploaded the photo?
 
Thanks for looking into this again. But when I click "edit group" for the Full Contact Fighters group all I get is:
  • Social Group Category: with a pull down menu
  • Group Description: with a text box
  • Group Type: with a pull down menu
  • Group Options: with little check boxes for "enable albums" or "enable messages"

But, what do I need to do if I want to change the logo in the future?
 
When on the group page, there is a blue bar at the bottom where the first link is "Join Group" (if you aren't a member) - do you see a link that says "Edit Group"?

-Clicking it opens the page described above by Pahtoocara.
 
Not sure then. I can't seem to find any options to allow the group owner to upload images when I look in the back end.
 
Did you upload the images for all the groups that have them?
 
I honestly don't remember. There should be an option for you to do it, but I can't seem to find it.
 
Hmm. Maybe I just need to chase down the founder of each group with a logo and ask them how it got there? :confused:
 
Spark, this option would be really neat. My plan for our group is to have everyone vote on a logo. I think it would contribute to camaraderie in the group and the forum overall.

But, it seems like it would be a major pain in the neck for you to upload every logo picture for every group. :)
