My Game Warden had an encounter with a Sockeye salmon today, but it wasn't much of a fight! Game Warden: one, Sockeye: 0

Tim,

Now just fire up the grill and make us all hungry.
Man oh man does that look good.
Thanks for sharing.

How's the sockeye run down there? Up here, the second run sucked badly. They dropped the limit to 1 per day (Usually 6 this time of year), closed subsistance fishing and dipnetting, and virtually shut down the kenai.
Silvers are coming in thick though.

There is a special three day opening on Lake Washington with a two fish a day limit. It only open if the total count is 350,000 or more, which doesn't happen every year. Other than that, there really isn't any other runs, so it is pretty limited here for Sockeye.

You actually filleted that with a Warden…..man your good!

Those are the BEST eating especially smoked :) .

Salmonducci,

Don't forget to either pack it in dry ice or smoke it before shipping to:

Okay, move along HOGs, . . . .nothing to see here!!!!!:D

Randucci,

If you liked the Warden on the Salmon try the Pork Belly Skinner.

Great for cutting into chunks for the grill.

Sort of a side handle Ulu, works like it was made for Salmon.

Nice Fish by the way!!

Awesome pics, Porkducci!!

My neighbor is smokin' salmon that he caught recently over at his place. I can see the smoke billowing up from his backyard right now. :D

Time to make the journey across the street......... :)
