This has been the biggest run of sockeye we have ever seen on the fraser river this year. 75 million expected!!!!!!!

The river opened to anglers aug 6 and I have gone 11 times so far after work with 2 sockeye a day and a 21lb red spring last thursday.

Going again tomorrow before work......stacking fillets like cordwood in the freezer:)

Anybody else been out?
I would go more but pest control is so busy in the summer

Hey Brad,

I've been out a few times, its been great! I was going to go today but commercial & first nations fisheries were open for most of the last 4 days so the river will probably be fishing really slow for the next couple days. How'd it go for you last time? I'll try to get out again mid week before they close it up for they year.

tight lines!

I went 3 times 2 weeks ago and 5 times last week(every day after work)

Brought home 2 every trip and with some guys that can't catch fish I handed off my rod hooked up to let them land one........

That way they bring a fish home at at least get to fight it(if they land it!!) AND they receive one of my smaller fish if that one is bigger.

Doing this has me bringing home 9 to 12lb bruisers instead of little ones.

Might go this afternoon but weekends are a zoo.

Going to can 6 of them today, canned 16 1lb boneless jars last sunday from 7 fish.
