Just paid a visit to a local gun shop and lo an behold he had one of the new Socom Elite's with the Tanto blade. Needless to say I picked this one up and brought it home. After all I turn 45 in a little bit, actually about 8 minutes according to my computer, and a nice b-day present was in order! Figured the MT SE-A w/tanto blade would go right along with my MADD MAXX.
It has been 2 or 3 years since I had a Socom DA with the tanto blade, but the new Elite blade does not appear to be the same, seems like it has more belly and a different top grind. How do the two compare? I am not a big fan of the tanto blade but this one really caught my eye. That dropped point reminds me of the BM Stryker, just a bit more belly. This one has a born date of 03/2001 and has the two-tone finish. For the life of me I can not make out the two-tone finish real well! Extremely sharp along with that rock solid lockup are present, as expected. Anyone else out there have the tanto and if so what are your opinions? Come on, lets sound off!
