According to this website, for me to buy the two wrenches needed to open my auto mini socom so I can attempt to eliminate the blade play, its going to cost me $30 +. Am I reading that right?
If I am, is there someone on this board that would be willing to let me borrow their wrenches? Ill pay all the shipping and handling charges, and you have my word that I will not keep them. I only need them for a day or two then Ill send them right back. I buy, sell, and trade parts on AR15.com and we basically use the honor system there, so you have my word I wont rip you off. I would also be willing to send it to someone here that thinks they can cure the blade play, but I need your word that you wont rip me off. My last choice would be to send the mini socom back to Microtech so they can take care of it, but ive heard stories of them taking up to 6 months to get your knife back to you, so I want to keep that as my last option.
On a second note. I did put CLP on all the moving parts and for a while ALL blade play did seem to stop, but it came back after a day or two. As far as I can tell the firing button, or plunger???? isnt being pushed far or hard enough to completely lock the blade in place.
