I am thinking of getting my dad a Sodbuster for fathers day.
Only thing is he wants one that locks and has a carbon steel blade.
Anyone know a good one like that.Only ones I can find that is lock back is in stainless.

Eye brand Sodbusters are pretty near indestructible....mine has seen nearly 40 years of use and is still going strong.

Boker just came out with a locking soddie, but I think it's stainless.

New boker soddy is a 440 A steel probably made by Boker argentinian Arbolito brand.
However boker also makes the Cinch brand which is 1095 steel i think.

You might also look at the new boker fellow:

not carbon but 4034 . Stainless but better then 440A imo . Can get it scary sharp

I think Eastern Cutlery also has some fancy lockback traditionals with 1095 carbonsteel?

I just checked out those Eye Brand Sodbusters, they look nice!!!
