My understanding is the "Sodbuster" is a German pattern, dating to the 1800's, with Case introducine their version (and the name "SodBuster") in the mid 1960's.

Lets see the "Sodbuster" pattern knives you're toting!
All are welcome regardless of age, brand and where made. 😁👍

My small insignificant accumulation:
(lockback) (Solingen) German version by Weidmannsheil, with the Boar shield and tang stamp. (dropping this one into my pocket to keep Bunny 291 company)
Rough Ryder (large, with old style tab liner lock) RR1743 Classic Carbon series.
Case 2137SS Sodbuster Junior.

This is about all of mine, except for two extra Chi-Imperials and another yellow carbon Case Jr.
J A Henckels, Robert Klaas, Case x 4, AG Russell, CK Maserin plow, Chinese Imperial.

There's also a rosewood and carbon one marked Stanley, which is probably a Maserin, but I'm not going to worry about that now.

The following link takes one to what used to be my favorite Sodbuster thread on The Porch, but it seems that almost all of the photos have been "destroyed".

It still mentions by name many Sodbuster-style patterns from around the world, and you could find a name that interests you and ask Google to find photos for you.
