So what did you guys think of the new software for the Forums? I know, I know - it was slower than death. But we all know that's just bugs in the system. That aside, what did you think? I really liked it! (I'm refraining from "smileys", because I don't think they're linked in yet...) Loging in was nice, as the system seem to remember your preferences (like including a "sig" line or not, without having to check the box), I liked the user info under the user name (number of posts, BF number - got a pretty low one there, John, etc.) I thought the "rating" system was interesting. Whoever voted me for the 5 stars - thanks! That might come in handy for sniffing out UCs... And, I liked that you could see the smileys, and just click on one to insert it into your post. Mucho cool. Any new features I missed before it went down?

Too slow, if that was to be the performance permanently, I would go elsewhere. Drove me nuts! Dick
 
I gotta say I really like the features. One neat feature I don't think many found was the "Profile" section. There were spots to show what your latest knife bought was, what knives you prefer and you could even post a picture to come up when someone looked at your profile. It's probably meant so you could put your picture, but I put up a CQC7 with my early G19.

I never did figure what the whole "buddy list" thing was about.

If they could work out the speed thing, I'd like to see it back.

It was deathly slow, but definitely if they can work out the speed issue, I'd like to see the new features back!

I also liked the "Latest Posting" on the main Makers/Mfrs. board that showed a synopsis of the newest post in a particular forum...

I'm wondering if the buddy list would alert you if the ones on your list were logged in and it would chime you and allow you to instant message them. That would be cool.

It was slooooow. So slooooow that even I could keep up with it.

I know it was slow and all but it was cool all the new features i didn,t much care for the rating system but i would have gone along with it the profile catagorys were a nice touch give then some time to work the bugs out bring it back and lets give it another try
