Any idea why the silver wharncliffe blade Access Card was discontinued but the black clip point wasn't? I'm guessing more people bought the black one than the silver but I know a lot of people like the wharncliffe style of blade so I don't know. If both were discontinued, I'd figure that maybe the Access Card 3.0 was coming soon.
 
I have not seen the Wharncliffe style for 2 years now. I have the bowie version, and passed on the wharncliffe style because it gave the impression of a glorified boxcutter.

If the do come out with a 3.0 I wish they would dump the pocket clip, or at least make it easy to remove. I could never figure out why SOG made an ultra flat knife, then added a bulging pocket clip to it.
 
As far as I know, the catalog released in 2013 had both styles. I could be wrong. I went ahead and bought the clip point sight unseen because no stores in my area carry it with their SOG inventory. Amazing knife for the size and cost. I'd compare it's cutting ability to a Dragonfly. The clip doesn't bother me in the least, I find it unobtrusive and tight enough for good retention.
