SOG Aegis cllicking noise?

Hello, I just received my SOG Aegis today and when I shut the blade about 2/3 of the way it makes about 2 or 3 clicks until it shuts fully. It sounds akin to twisting the eraser end of a mechanical pencil. I contacted SOG and they said it should not be clicking. I decided to post here to see if this DOES actually happen on these knives or it is just mine. The knife seems to be perfectly fine and no matter how tight or loose the pivot is the sound still happens. Thanks a lot ahead of time.

The SOG Aegis is not an automatic. It's assisted opening. If you arealdy call SOG, then make arrangements to return it or get it repaired.

My guess would be it has something to do with the spring on the blade. It shouldn't be clicking but i don't think it will hurt anything. If you want you can send it in and we will inspect it and see what the issue is.

Have you tried lubing it? Mine was clicking, but flushing it with some g96 its fine.
