First off, this is my first post. Just want to say hi and that I regret getting into knives. Knives have been the dirty grey segway between me and plunging on high dollar pistols.
I recently picked up an Aegis Tanto TiNi, and i'm having issues to deploy it consistently.
It seems the liner gives less than a MM on each side of the blade to play. When I try to deploy the blade via thumb stud, there's enough (although minimal) play on the blade itself to rub against the liner, thus slowing (or in some cases completely preventing) deployment.
Or it could be that the liner is just horrendously thin. I'm a bonafide knife novice.
I've also tried adjusting the pivot screw with no luck. Even when I tighten the blade the the point when there's 0 play, the knife has 0 assist.
Any IDEARS?
