SOG and VG-10

I notice that both sizes of the Pentagon and Spec-Elite are in VG10 steel now. After running into an old acquaintance with a big Voyager lockback, I've got knife envy. I think a Spec-Elite II will do nicely to nix that. Does SOG look like they're going to do some of their fixed blades in VG10?

I've been EDC'ing a Vulcan lately and I'm very impressed with the VG-10 blade. It is super sharp and seems to hold an edge better than the aus-8. I haven't needed to sharpen it yet so I can't comment on that but the aus-8 is pretty easy to put a nice edge on even tho its about average for holding the edge.

I would like to see a bit more variation of steel in SOG fixed blades though the AUS steel is working fine for me.

Just got my Spec-Elite 2 a few days back. I'm really digging it so far. If they had this blade style in a fixed blade, I'd already be putting the cash back for it.

I EDC a Spec Elite 1, and it is plenty fullsize. The Elinte II is definitely a large size.

I ordered the Pentagon elite from a dealer buddy of mine, and he accidentally sent me the Spec Elite 1 instead, and I much prefer it.

Seeing there aren't any fixed blades made in Seki any more, I don't think they'll do any VG10 fixed blades. VG10 is a Japanese steel and used on SOG's knives that are made in Japan. If I am wrong, please correct me.
