I am always curious when a blade ends up with Anniversary Markings on whether or not this will affect the value of the blade.

I have a 2005 SOG Aniv. Tech Bowie and love the feel of the blade, but have never tried it out - mostly because of the fact that it is an anniversary edition.

If it may have some value in the future, I was leaning towards potentially buying another for a user. Any thoughts? Of course it could be like the comics of my generation, so many were made that there is little hope of them being of value!

I seem to remember the number being about 500-1000 pieces.

Wow, that is a lot lower than I expected. I definately would need a second for a user! Thanks.

The Tech Bowie with the Satin Finish is an awsome looking knife. Plus it is a good size and I found that the Kabar-Eagle Sheath fits the blade perfectly - very nice package.

I'm finishing the blade on a Scuba/Demo and the 20th Anniversary logo was gone after the first 220 grit sanding. I was wondering if I can get that engraved back on the blade when I'm done working on this knife?

I noticed that SOG does engraving. Will they engrave the anniv. logo on an SOG knife?

I don't think we can do this unless the original logo is still visible. The reason for this is that anyone can come up and say that they had polished off the 20th Anniversary marking and ask to put it on a knife that might not of originally had it. That would then devalue any of the knives with the marking because no one could prove which ones were original or redone.

I hope you understand. if you have more questions send me a PM.
