Let me start off by saying that I have always been a fan of the SOG Bowie knives. Just for the historical value that they represent. Aside from that I find their blade shape extremely useful for fighting and all types of cutting tasks. It's just a win win design overall. I am about to pull the trigger on a SOG Bowie but I can't seem to make up my mind on which version to choose. I am torn between all three versions.
I like the Bowie 2.0 for its historical value as being the most accurate representation of the original MACV SOG Bowie knife used in the Vietnam war.
However I strongly believe that the Tech Bowie is the most useful out of all of them. The kraton handles provide superior grip and will not get damaged if it comes into contact with water like the stacked leather handles will.
I find the Trident Bowie the most visually appealing out of all of them. The satin stainless steel finish looks incredible along with the Micarta handle. Compared to the stacked leather handle, how well does Micarta perform in the wet?
Keep in mind that this will be my go to knife that I will use when hiking and camping. So what do you guys think?
